Providing quality developmental ice hockey programming since 1990

Young Foxes Hockey's mission is to introduce the youth of our community to the great game of ice hockey. Our goal is to ensure that every child can enjoy a positive, character-building sports experience, while sharing a passion for the game.  YFH believes that by developing every individual, the team benefits as a whole.  This produces a level of confidence that brings success in the developmental hockey environment.  Emphasis will always be placed upon education, personal development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  The conduct of directors, coaches, players, and parents will be maintained to ensure a positive culture in which all can honor the sport, and exemplify an organization of which one can be proud.  Above all else... "It's always about the kids."

Approaching our 35th year, Young Foxes Hockey (YFH) is a developmental ice hockey program for children (ages 5-14) focusing on skill development in skating, hockey strategies, and the rules of the game.  Prior skating or ice hockey experience is not required.  From September through March, YFH practices once per week and plays games with other local developmental teams. There is no geographic residency requirement to join YFH. Because the "home ice" of Young Foxes Hockey is Alpha Ice Complex in Harmarville, PA, YFH players tend to come from within the City of Pittsburgh and surrounding communities (Harmar, O'Hara, Fox Chapel, Hampton, Deer Lakes, Tarentum, Cheswick, Oakmont, Indiana Twp., Shaler, Plum, etc).  All are welcome to join YFH!

Founded  in 1990, Young Foxes Hockey is a Pennsylvania non-profit coporation. It is exempt from Federal income tax pursuant to Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(7).
